Arthur – The Best That You Can Do!

I had the distinct privilege of watching one of my all-time favorite movies last night, when TCM brought back Arthur. Nominated for four Academy Awards in 1982, Arthur is one of the very few movies I actively rooted for to win. I mean really, with the incredibly funny Dudley Moore teamed up with Liza Minnelli and the awesome Sir John Gielgud, all working together with one of the greatest movies themes ever playing behind them, how could I not?

Trudging Across The Tundra…

Well my friends, I finally got to see a dentist yesterday, which only required a 5 hour round trip in the freezing cold, including the hour walking to and from bus stops, the time waiting for connections, the 4 bus rides themselves, and the hour I actually spent in the dental office at the health department…

Just Wake Me When It’s Over…

And don’t even get me started on that whole “Christmas spirit” thing…

The Key To Happiness?

You just never know where those “deep insights” will come from, do you? As a depressed person, living in the world I see around me, I’ve often wondered at what seems like an “inappropriate degree of happiness” in other people. Well I finally got my answer yesterday, in, of all places, the movie Ice Age: Continental Drift…

A “Smashing” Good Night!

Believe it or not, I actually watched Thor, The Avengers, and Iron Man 3 last night – back to back to back. As exhausted as I am today, however, I just had to do this quick post to reveal the man that I thought stole the entire show – even though he was in only two of the three movies… Tom Hiddleston as Loki!
