Bizarre Laws Visualized!

From the weird and crazy, to the downright ridiculous, I’ve posted a lot about the law on this blog. So naturally, after seeing some of Olivia Locher’s I Fought The Law collection posted on Visual News, I just had to add another post to my collection! 🙂

    • It’s hard for me to imagine that any real thought went into them Harry. I think a lot of them are purely the result of a panicked, re-election driven, answer to someone screaming “there ought to be a law!” 😐

  1. They must all be incredibly outdated pieces of legislation that the legislators haven’t got around to removing, surely … But they say an awful lot about the various places …

    • It certainly does say a lot about them M-R – that they’re too busy kissing butt for the sake of getting re-elected to take the time needed to get our houses in order!

  2. Well, maybe I shouldn’t admit this, but I can kinda see where one or two of them came from (like no booze in teacups and no fishing with dynamite). Although, as a Mexican-American, I am deciding to be offended by the “no picnics in graveyards” law — where else are we supposed to celebrate Day of the Dead!? Harumph! 🙂

    • Not sure about the teacup thing, but fishing with dynamite certainly seems like cheating to me. But I’m willing to let things like that and your graveyard picnics go, as long as I get to keep the portraits up in my bedroom! O_o
