Monday Night Lights!

My first knowledge of the amazing auroral display, witnessed by so many around the world on Monday night, came from the Monday Night Lights: October Aurorae Surprise Skywatchers post over at the Lights in the Dark blog. Because it was made not too far from where I live, I knew I had to post this video:

  1. I would really love to see the Northern Lights sometime. They were visible is Oklahoma this time; lived there all my life and never saw them. I think there were parts of Colorado that saw them early Tuesday morning, but we didn’t get any advance warning. Oh well, I trust I’ve seen something somewhere that someone else always wanted to see and never has.

  2. Great videos. I once lived very far north – near the Arctic Circle and the aurora borealis was an amazing light show. I had no idea they could be seen so far south. Thanks for this collection — it’s a cool one.
