My Keep Cool Friday

Well today is the day I’m hoping that order, or at least my crazy version of it, will return to my little world. As you might expect, with accumulating late rent penalties and the potential for having my cable, internet and phone cut off again, I’m just a tad “wound up” this morning… 🙄

With that in mind, I thought I’d use some of this energy to put together a post filled with the kind of things that help me “keep my cool”… 😀

BTW, my birthday is coming up on Monday. I think it’s so cool that both Bill Nye and Jon Stewart have birthdays so close to mine. Even cooler than that is the fact that Bill Nye and I are less than two weeks apart in age! 😀

    • Thanks Dood! 😀

Jeez, Bill Nye is on the news, live, almost every week! But kids are even worse that religious nuts when it comes to their willingness to believe in crazy things. Which is precisely why I think allowing the latter to have influence over the former is a crime against humanity.

I remember a crazy thing that happened when I was in grade school back in 1969. There was this weird rumor going around alleging that there was a giant wolf, perhaps even a werewolf, roaming the area near our school. Every kid I knew believed it was real, and many of them claimed to have seen it, or the damage left in its wake, with their own eyes. The fact that it was even beginning to make me afraid began to really piss me off, to the point where I went off on a kind of investigative “rampage” of my own, grilling every kid who claimed to have seen it until I got enough of them to admit that they actually hadn’t to finally put the matter to rest.

It wasn’t until much later that I realized that it was the swiftness with which the rumor spread, and what I feared it might drive those kids to do about it, that actually affected me so deeply. I’ve been very suspicious of people and their “beliefs” ever since… 😐

Everything’s pretty much back on track with the finances as well. I can’t tell you how relieved I feel! Smiley
