The Most Blasphemous Thing You’ll See All Day.

Oh the arrogance of mere mortals who believe gods depend on their protection. I’m sure they’d be laughing their asses off if they actually existed, assuming, of course, they’d waste time paying attention to totally insignificant gnats… LMFAO!!! • Good point PT. From the original article:

WASHINGTON—Following the publication of the image above, in which the most cherished figures from multiple religious faiths were depicted engaging in a lascivious sex act of considerable depravity, no one was murdered, beaten, or had their lives threatened, sources reported Thursday. The image of the Hebrew prophet Moses high-fiving Jesus Christ as both are having their erect penises vigorously masturbated by Ganesha, all while the Hindu deity anally penetrates Buddha with his fist, reportedly went online at 6:45 p.m. EDT, after which not a single bomb threat was made against the organization responsible, nor did the person who created the cartoon go home fearing for his life in any way. Though some members of the Jewish, Christian, Hindu, and Buddhist faiths were reportedly offended by the image, sources confirmed that upon seeing it, they simply shook their heads, rolled their eyes, and continued on with their day.

While I know very little about the Jewish, Hindu, and Buddhist faiths, I have no problem at all imagining a rampaging mob of “Christian Crusaders” out to deliver their own brand of “Divine Retribution.” 😕

  1. yep, not signing their name is probably why they were not in fear for life upon leaving the building. i have never heard of the onion before. the idea of using different faiths gods in sexual drawings to me is beyond idiocy. also even pretending to joke about a childs death is just so not what a decent publication would allow.

    • Your outrage is noted Raven, although I have no idea what “joke about a childs death” you made reference to, and as ridiculous as being outraged over depictions of imaginary beings seems to me. I hope that you’ve saved some venom for those who would kill you and everyone you care about because you dared to express an opinion. After all, they are the targets of this mockery.

        • Very little of what The Onion publishes is meant to be taken seriously. Actually, I think the whole point is that we should just lighten up and stop taking things so seriously. As one who suffers from clinical depression, I know better than most just how dangerous that can be.

The world will always have its share of lunatics. And there are always going to be those with whom we don’t agree. But killing each other over a difference of opinion? Really? What could possibly be more offensive that that?!?!

  3. This kind of imagery will always cause havoc
around the world, I guess the religious nature of
the cartoon inflames many, but then again it is
just a cartoon and not something that should in
any way make someone take the life of another…

Surely the killing of another is something that
none of us should be doing, no matter what our
religious beliefs are, this is universal for all…

    Thou Shalt Not Kill…

    • And who would be to blame for that my friend? The creator of a tasteless piece of art? Or the mindless hoard and the “puppet masters” who urge them on? And what of the “messengers of peace” who stand mute rather than point out how much in violation of their own teachings that such actions represent?
