More Ender’s Game Awesomeness!

If you saw my Ender’s Game post, then you already know just how big a deal the upcoming movie version is to me. Well, with just two more days to it’s opening, fellow blogger blurppy has done yet another awesome post to keep us updated…

RoboCop Bliss!

Although the sequels left something to be desired, I just loved the original RoboCop movie. I was fully reminded of of that love over the weekend by the RoboCop marathon bliss for Rincewind on the Erotixx blog. With this awesome RoboCop Cosplay costume… These wild images… And cool “behind the production” details, my friend clearly got as big a kick out of that movie as I did.

Ender’s Game

It’s funny. Every time I see an ad for the latest “tablet computer” and think of the potential they hold to transform the way education is done in this world… Every time I see my son playing one of those incredible “Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games” (MMORPG) he loves so much… Every time I hear about the “Predator” style drones now being used to fight against the seemingly unstoppable forces of international terrorism… I think of one book: Ender’s Game, the prophetic 1985 military science fiction novel by author Orson Scott Card – truly one of the most profound reading experiences of my life.

Well my friends, according to fellow blogger blurppy, those hollywood types have finally gotten around to making that incredible book into a movie starring Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Sir Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis and Abigail Breslin…

Long Live The King! – Part 2

While I’m on the subject of The King of Horror, there’s a new book out for anyone (like me) who’s crazy enough to think they’ve read everything Stephen King has written. It’s called Stephen King: Uncollected, Unpublished by Rocky Wood, and here’s the totally cool video promoting it. And if that isn’t enough Stephen King for you, the latest version of Carrie will be in theaters October 18, 2013! Here’s one of the Official Trailers…

More Marvel Madness!

Okay, my previous post included two clips from Monday night’s 3 hour presentation of Iron Man 2 on ABC. Well here’s a couple of things ABC and Marvel Entertainment used that presentation to promote:

Slow Justice is No Justice!

I just finished watching a really good, if not downright excellent, movie called Faster, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Maggie Grace, and lots of other very familiar faces. With movie taglines like If you’re on his list, you’re already dead, Slow Justice is No Justice, and Justice is swift. Vengeance is faster, Faster is a very intense, action-packed, thrill ride. Of that, there is no doubt. But the thing that really got to me was the preacher sermonizing on the radio, which left me suspecting, rightly (and dreading, for some strange reason), that he’d somehow end up being on our avenging angel’s hit list…

Awesome Movie Trailers – “The Purge”

Considering all the problems we have in our world, I can’t be the only one who’s wondered if maybe a few less people might ease the stress a little. Well, if you’re like me, and aren’t expecting a rapture event to happen any time soon, then perhaps the “solution” offered here might be something you’d…
