This Is Your Life 101…

Well, I haven’t posted since Mother’s Day. I’ve been a little busy with doctors appointments, new medications, catching up on my DVR recordings (that I got behind on worrying about all of that), and dreading all the damned appointments to come. Those who know me, and manage to give a shit anyway, will understand why what follows are apt reflections of the turmoil going on in my head…

Lonely feelin’ deep inside
Find a corner where I can hide
Silent footsteps crowdin’ me
Sudden darkness, but I can see

No sugar tonight in my coffee
No sugar tonight in my tea
No sugar to stand beside me
No sugar to run with me

Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow
Da-un-do-dow dow, no no
Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow
Da-un-do-dow dow

The Guess Who

Comic via The Gentlemans Armchair

Jocko said no when I came back last time
It’s lookin’ like I lost a friend
No use callin’ ’cause the sky is fallin’
And I’m gettin’ pretty nearer to end

A smoke-filled room in a corner basement
The situation must be right
A bag o’ goodies and a bottle o’ wine
We’re gonna get it on right, tonight

‘Cause it’s the new Mother Nature takin’ over
It’s the new splendid lady come to call
It’s the new Mother Nature takin’ over
She’s gettin’ us all, she’s gettin’ us all

The Guess Who

I want ice water.

    • Thank you so much Sue. I’ve been having some problems adjusting to my medications (shakiness, mood swings, blurred vision and inability to focus my thoughts). Went back to the doctors on Monday, thinking I was having a bad reaction to one or more of the meds. It turns out that my body had gotten so used to the astronomical blood glucose levels I’d been having that it had become “normal” for me, causing my body to react to the more normal levels as if they were dangerously low – even though they’re still higher than they should be!

Thanks caring about me. They say the adjustment period should not be too long, and I’ll be back doing my usual crazy thing! Thanks again. Love and Hugs right back at ya!
