Our world is so full of wonders that new and amazing places are discovered every day, be that by professional photographers or amateurs. Different geographical locations, climatic conditions and even seasons offer the widest variety of natural wonders: pink lakes, stunning lavender or tulip fields, breath-taking canyons and mountains, and other places you can hardly believe actually exist!
No wonder that traveling is one of the best forms of recreation – even looking at these pictures takes your mind to far away places… And yes, all of those places are real!

Fantastic. Is the picture labelled unbelievable-places-19-1 Mount Roraima? That’s somewhere I’d love to visit. Unfortunately my fear of flying and aversion to heat means I almost certainly never will. 😦
By the by, you had a post up a (long) while ago featuring a guy going down a hill through streets on a bike in one continuous take. Do you have any idea what post that was? I have a friend I’d love to share it with.

Okay, I deliberately left out the names to force you guys to go see the original post. But for you buddy, just this once, the answer is yes. That is indeed Mount Roraima, in South America! 😉
Is this the post you were thinking of Jake: Holy Crap! 😀

LOL, the pink lakes are in Western Australia. I have been several times and every time the lake is not pink. It has to be the right temperature for it to turn pink. There are two in the area, one near the town of Esperance and another on a remote island about an hour by boat from Esperance.

Well, you’re half right Loon. The first image (the one with ocean in sight) is Lake Hillier, Australia. The second image is actually of Lake Retba, Senegal! 😀

I have always wanted to see the ice caves and the salt fields. Did you know that that one cave is so big that it has its own weather system?
