  1. Bridges seem to provide one of the best opportunities to turn a purely functional structure into a spectacular work of art. Some look for all the world like giant modern sculptures. Amazing.

    • I have a fear of bridges (especially when they cross over water) and I’ve also suffered from motion sickness all my life Val, so they all scare the crap out of me. My dad took us for a long drive on those Florida bridges when I was about 10 or 11 and, despite being surrounded by all that beauty, I spent most of the drive curled up on the back seat trying not to throw up! 😯
