  1. Fascinating collection! I zoomed in first on the one showing the drainage of the Mississippi. I had a rough idea of how big it is, but illustrated this way — wow. This should be used in schools. Also jaw-dropping was the Global Population Density. Maps are such great ways to illustrate all those vague notions we have floating around in our heads.

    • Excellent point PT. And speaking of “vague notions,” I’ve been searching for years for some sort of map, video or interactive graphic showing the fluid nature of international borders through history! 😀
