Trying to comprehend the size of the universe and our place in it always gives me a headache. But it also fills me with awe and makes me feel very small, very humble, and very, very grateful.
Well said PT! I’ve often wondered at how threatened some people are by scientific revelations regarding our true place in the cosmos. I prefer to wonder at how cool it is that an insignificant species like us can still manage to be so incredibly far-sighted! 😀
NOW you tell us about MinuteEarth! I just spent the last three weeks slogging through “Guns, Germs and Steel”!!! (A great book, but sometimes a tough read.)
Sorry Luddy, but unlike MinutePhysics, I only found out about MinuteEarth just recently – in Universe Today’s The Story of Earth (in 2 Minutes and 20 Seconds) post! 😀
I always see Mogan Freeman on Science Channel. At this very moment, I’m actually watching him…. re God particle , Higgs boson… my intelligence is not enough to grasp the concept of something this fundamental
Funny. I got interrupted while watching the same show, so I recorded the rest. I was just about to start watching again! 😀
Aaaargh, so geeky… ha ha.
Geeky is right! I’m just barely following what they’re saying, but they sure do make it interesting! 😀
