Talk about starting the kids off right – this Amusing Planet story describes what has to be the coolest kindergarten I’ve ever heard of!
The refurbishment took several months and Mr Chapidze says he was concerned at first that people would not take to the idea, but the unique playpen has become a hit with the parents too…
…The staff hope that in addition to being a fun place full of knobs to turn and buttons to push, playing on the aircraft will help children develop technically.
“The idea was to create a kindergarten where children go with joy,” Chapidze, the rector of the Institute of Georgian-Ukrainian Social Relations that runs the kindergarten, said. “Sometimes kids have difficulties in adapting to kindergarten, to a new environment. We decided to help them by making it fun,” he added.

I would like to live in it! The bathrooms would probably need a little remodeling. I would start packing up tomorrow.

How cool !!! Here in NZ…it would never fly [hehehehe]. Health and safety would be all over it saying that there were too many dangers. God how I hate the way we wrap kids in cotton wool these days…

I suspect it would be the same case here in the US Jo. If it did get approved, it would only be after the regulators stripped away every bit of cost savings and all the fun! 😕

What a great idea! I expected Cyrillic printing on the fuselage, but I guess English is the language of flying.

I hadn’t thought of that Archon. A “side benefit” perhaps? 😉
