The technique is called “tilt shift photography (and video).” Technically, one uses a camera specially designed for the tilt-shift effect. But the effect can be created afterwards as well. I often toss some photos in Photoshop and see if I can get a decent tilt-shift effect. First time I saw this effect was about a year ago and fell in love with it immediately.

I’ve seen that technique before, whatever they do that makes it look like a model, but I’ve never seen those blurred transitions before. Amazing!

Really? That sounds so cool Loon! My friend Rosie Posted an image of the weird “tree park” (the video’s pre-start image, and at about 46 seconds in) on Facebook a while back, and we’ve been wondering about it ever since! Do you know anything about it, or maybe you can find out when you’re there? 😀
