You know, as much as I “like” the demeanor and personality of Barack Obama, which is decidedly more “attractive” than that of Mitt Romney, I think the likelihood of either man overcoming the “make a lot of noise while accomplishing nothing” status quo of our government is about as high as having the average American recognize the glaring errors in the following graphic: that the United States isn’t now, and has never been, a genuinely capitalist country, and that the good old boy, fat-cat cronyism network that runs everything is, in fact, the worst enemy that capitalism has ever known!

But despite the overwhelming evidence that “the motor of the world” has indeed been stopped, just as Ayn Rand predicted, metaphorically, in her novel Atlas Shrugged, I no longer believe that there’s anything I can do or say to stop our inexorable march down that road to oblivion…

So, with that in mind, I’ve decided to behave as Nero was alleged to have behaved while Rome was burning down around him: I’m gonna have myself a grand old lunatic time laughing in the face of our incredible stupidity!

I apologize to those who are prevented, for whatever incredibly stupid reason, from viewing videos from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Also, I included the “Atlas Shrugged Part 2 Teaser Movie Trailer” clip only for its dramatic effect. I haven’t seen the first movie, and am not likely to see the second and third movies either, unless, of course, they make it to television someday. For all I know, the people behind them are just as TEA party crazy as so many other so-called Atlas Shrugged fans are…
