A Dark Nut Rising?

I’m a huge fan of those “Ice Age” movies, yet despite the brilliant animation and voice-overs for their main characters, my favorite has always been the one with few, if any, lines at all – Scrat – and his never ending quest for that damned acorn!

So you know that, after seeing this outrageously funny “short” on TV last night, I just had to post it here for all to see:

That “short” is of course just a part of the promotion for the latest release in the “Ice Age” franchise: Ice Age: Continental Drift. Here’s the actual trailer:

But like I said, Scrat is my favorite character of them all. Here’s the clip I borrowed the title for this post from:

And how could I resist these insanely hilarious highlights from Scrat’s past adventures:

I want ice water.

  1. Great stuff, Mak!

I haven’t been inclined to see an animated movie for many years but I have always appreciated great cartoons. Possibly my all-time favorite theme was the road-runner series and the creative people who did Scrat and Ice Age likely went to school on those – I seem to recognize elements.

    • Haven’t been out to the movies in a very long time, so I watched the first 3 movies on TV. Waiting for a couple of years for this one to be on is gonna be hard! 😀

    • Thanks Scott. Having seen the first 3 only on TV, I can only imagine how much better they were on the big screen. And this one looks like it could be the best of the bunch! 😀
