At Last – Proximity!

Now, the fact that I rarely go out does NOT mean there aren’t things “out there” I’d like to do and see. And while the “doing” part of this video might be a bit over-the-top for a frail old “Scaredy Cat” like me, the “seeing” part of it leaves me absolutely drooling!

  1. Okay, guys like that can’t be entirely sane. And if they are going to take risks like that, I don’t suppose it really matters whether they fly close to the mountainside or soar across the valley where they could fall several thousand feet straight down. They’ll be just as dead either way.

    • You’re right Pied. Guys like that canโ€™t be entirely sane. But as one would jump at an opportunity to go into space atop a giant roman candle, I can’t exactly point fingers! ๐Ÿ™„

        • I thought the same thing right after I wrote my reply, but I decided to let it stand because the people who do this must have the same kind of confidence in their own preparation and equipment as astronauts have in theirs… wouldn’t they? ๐Ÿ˜•

  2. Most of my life I’ve held the desire to fly in a glider, just slide through the air without any engine sounds. This might almost be better. I’m that kind of fool. Perhaps my bucket list . . . if I ever get to do any of it.

    • I had a friend / co-worker that loved to talk about flying his homemade glider. That sounded so nice. Myself, I like flying but prefer the illusion of control that an engine provides… ๐Ÿ˜€
