I’ve been reading a lot of these, including my own, and they make me chuckle pretty hard (nearly a manic laugh).
Happy New Year, may you compete with the Louvre all year.

Looks like you got the impressive flavor of “wow” and not the “participant” flavor what was handed out to me. Well done! And I still love that image!
I know some of my visits were part of your yearly total so I feel pretty good about that. 🙂

Thanks my friend. I was feeling pretty good about myself until a few minutes ago, when I saw the “2010 in review” posts for a couple of other blogs – one with well over 200 thousand views and the other with almost 500 thousand! Now THAT sure put thing in their proper perspective! 😯

Hey Mak,
How come you and Rick’s WOMP have the same post?!

Hi Poch! I’m not sure what you mean, but most of us got emails from WordPress containing their 2010 stats. It also included a button to post the info to our blogs. You didn’t get one? I’ve heard that some people haven’t gotten theirs yet.

Hey IzaahMak, thanks for the tip about the WP 2010 review.
Because ours is a group blog, we created a special google mail addy for Madhatters that we all could access. The outcome has been pretty predictable really – because we can all access it, we all assume someone else is checking the email account, with the result that no-one actually does 🙄
If you hadn’t tipped us off it would probably have been around February before we spotted this feature 😳

What? Me? Useful?!?! 😯
Actually I had wondered about that. Other folks seemed to have been left out too, though. At any rate, I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of year you guys had. I’ll bet it was most impressive! 😀

Strange … I know I got way fewer hits then you Kemosabee, yet, the WordPress folks gave me a ‘Wow’ also. Gotta wonder ?? As an old friend used to say to me when pondering a problem “We might have to blast !”
Impressive stats, sir .. does not surprise me one bit !!
Well done !!

Well Tonto, I don’t recall what version of “wow” they got, but I’ve run across several blogs whose WP report made my stats look truly pitiful by comparison! But, on the other hand, crazies like me gotta be happy at being noticed at all! 😀

My understanding is that everyone they sent the email to received a wow but they didn’t send emails out to everyone so…I’m still confused why I received the email since I didn’t blog for 9 months out of the year but yes crazies like us like to be noticed. 😉

If I were to begin a list of the various odd things I’ve noticed about WP, I’m not sure if I’d ever reach the end. Then again, such a list might just get me noticed! 🙄 😆

Actually, I started a wish / bitch list post, called “Okay, This Is What I Want,” a long time ago, but it quickly got to big to manage. I did incorporate some of my thoughts on my Read Me page though. 😐

IM,
Congrats on getting your WOW. I think we should all band together and take a group trip to the Louvre and stand out front holding signs with our stats. Then when people ask us about the numbers, we can say, “didn’t you know, the folks at wordpress said that reading our blogs is statistically equivalent to viewing some punkass art in the Louvre.”
Sigh. Must be the migraine that is making me so tetchy. Mean it on the congrats.
