Ice Water Notice

I’ll be down for a while after today (me, not the blog), maybe through the end of the month (year!). The warranty on my PC expires on 12/26/2010 so I’m going to take my last shot at getting the manufacturer to fix the intermittent freeze up problem I’ve had to live with for almost a full year.

So Happy Whatever to you all and, just in case, Happy New Year too!

I want ice water.

  2. Hey, man. Think only optimistic thoughts and then your PC will come back in tiptop shape — but with an unremovable spy cameria or some such thing. Happy What-not to you, too, and have a joyful, safe, prosperous new year! Heeeeyyyyy, why am I crying? 🙂

  4. Hey everyone! I decided to fire up the old Win98SE just to see if it still works and, TADA! It’s excruciatingly slow (not to mention filled with out-of-date software, plug-ins, and add-ons), so I’m not going to try for much.

My Inbox has more emails than I could ever hope to deal with (so what’s new?), but I thought I try to thanks you guys for all the best wishes and to update you on the PC drama. THANKS EVERYONE! Oh how I wish I could do a nice little Holiday post!

On the PC, I found an receipt acknowledgment email amongst the huge pile that was sent to me on Tuesday the 21st – and a return shipping notice that was sent out on Wednesday the 22nd! Considering the extremely intermittent nature of the problem, I’m not exactly filled with hope that it was actually fixed.

As advised though, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they somehow managed to replace whatever part(s) were malfunctioning. I can’t wait to see the repair report! Ultimately however, I won’t know if it’s been fixed until I see it run for at least a week without freezing up.

Anyway, I’ll keep this old thing running for now so that I can scan through my emails (Dave!) and maybe check out some of your posts I’ve missed.

    Later. 😀
