I know that magicians use knowledge of how the brain interprets visual input to fool their audience. But there’s always some level of deception involved as well. These things freak me out because nothing is being hidden at all, and yet my mind is fooled anyway! 😯

I’m pretty sure that second one is lame-ass, ‘caues it doesn’t appear to be a real mask, making it look really fake. The first one is cool though, stuff like that would be more impressive in person, but alas, I believe it’s only something that can be done on film. Not sure about that, but it doesn’t seem like it’d work that way in person.

You’re probably right. To get the same effect live, I’d think you’d have to have just the right lighting and viewing perspective.
