As with the recent Boston Marathon Bombings, the news media just seems to have a knack for getting me damned near as upset with their “breaking news” coverage of an event as I am with the actual event itself. And while I am cognizant of how that “fog of war” thing can really cloud the details in the heat of the moment, only an insane person would argue that the coverage of last week’s events by The New York Post succeeded in meeting the journalistic ethics standards we should all expect from the media.
But, thanks to this final segment from last night’s The Rachel Maddow Show, I am very happy to know that such a thing as “poetic justice” really does exist in this world:
