Reblogged from Motley News and Photos:
Here are some photos from the annular eclipse on May 20, 2012. All taken in Albuquerque, New Mexico right next to the airport.
Myself and my friend, Dave, were the first two there as we got there early. Shortly another car rolled in, and another. We ended up having about 15 cars there. Most people were from out of state. Our "neighbors" came in from North Carolina.
Oh these are just incredible Michelle. Everyone should see them. And yeah, I'm STILL... SO... JEALOUS!

I saw them on tv, and they are great photos.
Nature really does put on the best shows!
Good find Izaak
Michelle really is quite good!
Indeed they are. And I’m jealous too–it seems like the Eastern half of the U.S. is the least likely place to witness a solar eclipse. I’ve only seen one–I was in elementary school in Mobile, Alabama.
I forget where you’re located Scott. I know I won’t have the best view from here in Ohio, but I’m still looking forward to the Total Solar Eclipse of 2017 Aug 21. Why not check the projected track to see what’s in store for you?
Oh hang on IzaakMak, I have to get my special glasses first…. be back
You quazee girl!
