From growing up a poor, mixed-race kid in the 50s, 60s & 70s, to living as a depressed "urban hermit" in recovery, my blog is a mixture of humor & seriousness that reflects my personal philosophy for life in a global asylum.
Thanks man, it is awesome, but the credit should really go to Metousiosis. The guy must spend some serious time browsing for the best stuff.
Speaking of quotes, have you checked out my The Great Thinkers volume? Also, you’ve reminded me that I’ve been meaning to switch out my “Quote of the Day” widget, as well as adding a “On This Day In History” one. Maybe I’ll get to it over the weekend…
Ya I feel ya, doing my own game of catch up this weekend. You know, that point where you kind of glance over at that mental ‘to do’ list, and groan a little bit. So ill just toss reviewing The Great Thinkers section on there, and see what happens. =)
Not to worry. I only completed three posts for that volume. Putting them together turned out to be way more difficult than I thought. The number of available quotes to sort through increased with each topic, and I collected so many for the unfinished “Sex” and “Religion” topics that I decided to hold off until I came up with a better method.
I think this is one of the best videos I’ve ever posted, right up there with the “This Is John Galt Speaking” series. Sadly, it’s attracted about as much attention as that series as well. What a shame.
Brilliant. Immediately lifted it and backdated it to go with my backdated Banned Books Week post (as I am still playing catch up after the family mishap).

It really was, wasn’t it? I hope the post’s title isn’t keeping people away. You’re just the second visitor. Thanks my friend.
thought it was a brilliant title, made me wanna see it even more…
Well the visitor count is up to seven now, but I suspect the damn thing is counting my visits too!
All I can really say, is HELL YEAH!
Love stuff like this. Reminds me of the quote wallpapers that I used to collect/make.
